The history of New York started with the birth of the city & continues with many important events such as the immigration waves & 9-11-2001 WTC attack.

NYC has many ethnic enclaves such as Chinatown and Little Italy, Little Germany aka Yorkville was described but it all but disappeared by the late 80′s.

This is a powerpoint slideshow of beautiful hi res pictures of New York City to the music of Frank Sinatra “New York, New York”. Due to copy right, the music is now from the public domain “America the beautiful” and another nice tune.

The WTC complex was located in the heart of New York City’s downtown financial district and contained 13.4 million square feet (1.24 million m2) of office space. The Windows on the World restaurant was located on the 106th and 107th floors of 1 World Trade Center (the North Tower) while the Top of the World observation deck was located on the 107th floor of 2 World Trade Center (the South Tower).
Other World Trade Center buildings included the Marriott World Trade Center; 4 World Trade Center; 5 World Trade Center; 6 World Trade Center, which housed the United States Customs. All of these buildings were built between 1975 and 1981. The final building constructed was 7 World Trade Center, which was built in 1985. The World Trade Center experienced a fire on February 13, 1975, and a bombing on February 26, 1993. In 1998, the Port Authority decided to privatize the World Trade Center, leasing the buildings to a private company to manage, and awarded the lease to Silverstein Properties in July 2001.

There you wouldn’t find one empty hall in the entire building. I pulled out my phone and called Alexis. “Hello” she answered after the third ring. “My plane just landed and I’m in the airport” I replied “Finally I’ve been waiting for like an hour!” she said and I laughed. I started walking from my gate to the front of the airport. I observed the airport and the scenery outside of the windows. Los Angeles might not be as fast paced as New York but it was definitely beautiful. Palm trees, blue skies, and the sun shining.
“Dani!” Alexis screamed hugging me, I laughed “You, girl, are crushing me” I mumbled, She let me go smiling. “Well dang you can’t blame a for missing her best friend” she said. I looked around “Where are the girls you told me about?” I asked. “Oh they’re back at my—I mean our house. They some bummy hoes.” Alexis said shaking her head and I just laughed. We put my bags in the trunk and headed to Alexis’ house. “Oh my God I can’t wait for you to meet everyone! Sage, Jacque, Liana are all a mess but you’ll like them. And Reign has been dyin’ to see yo ass. Maybe you could meet her friend Khalil and -” started. “Khalil? I’m not too sure about him, Reign told me what he’s like and I’m just not sure about him” I confessed. Reign told me that he was a great singer but he doesn’t know how to control his partying.
“He’s not that bad Daniele. Honestly he’s a real cool person when he’s not in one of his moods” Alexis said “Enough with this talk about Khalil, I’m ready to party” I said lightening the mood. “There’s the Dani I know! With you being in New York for so long, you might have lost you’re Cali flava” she said laughing. “Lexi, I was only gone for two weeks.” “That’s a long time for me. It was two weeks, too many!” she said, then we laughed. This girl is truly something else! “You know we bout to hit up Rage like nobody’s business!” She continued. “Aye everyone knows the party don’t stop til I walk in”, Alexis sang. “Uhm no bitch, that’s me!” I corrected her, laughing. “Girl, you couldn’t let me have my one moment?”
